Kepping Up With Cotton
The Story of Cotton Rosser and the Flying U Rodeo Co. Is well documented. While this back story is important and necessary for the narrative history of the project, I wish to focus no what make Cotton Rosser continue to do what he does after six decades of rodeo.
There are just a few key questions that I will attempt to address and possibly answer.
1. What makes The man 'Tick'. Where does his passion for the sport of Rodeo come from?
2. We all have a path to follow in life. At what point in his life did he decide the Rodeo Trail was his path?
3. With the passion and drive we all know him to have, and his up and coming status in the RCA in the 1950's, Would he have accomplished as much in the World of Rodeo had fate not taken him down the road his is on?
with these question I will attempt to focus on not in Cotton Rosser's own words, but through the eyes and the stories of the relationships he has developed over the years.
With unprecedented access to the well documented historical photographs and footage of the Flying U Rodeo Company, I will walk the viewer the exciting world of Rodeo.
With a few dramatizations, I will tug at the emotions the viewer for not only what has become, but what could have been.
I will weave this story together with a selection of music from Independent artist that I have already negotiated terms with such as singer song writers, Chris Carter and Kevin Gant along with a bit of custom scoring to take the viewer on a wild emotional ride through this story.
It is as important for me, as an artist with the passion I have to the subject matter to tell this story as it is for this story to be told for generations to come in the way that people connect with information in the times we live in.
